Wow, never thought I’d see the day. Gainesville’s 13th street Domino’s, previously one of the top in the nation, is dead. I called today to be told the wait time is 45 minutes to a hour. Never in five years has that been the case. And it’s a Monday evening! I was told, honestly, that they were understaffed. No real surprise there.

Whatever went down at the end of July has obviously been truly nasty.

Meanwhile the Papa John’s on Archer is operating surprisingly effectively. Having just left, I was told by a former Domino’s employee now working there that sales are up 40% already this year. Definitely a classic example of borrowing knowledge from a competitor, the Papa John’s on Archer has implemented many of the successful techniques employed at the Domino’s.
