It seems my Maxtor 120GB died over Thanksgiving holiday. It was the replacement for the last Maxtor 120GB that failed, and it’s out of warranty now. There aren’t any rebate deals on the older 2MB cache version of the drive I have, so I’ll need to replace it with something else. Strangely, none of my 120GB Western Digital Special Edition disks have failed, and some are about as old as the failed Maxtor. It’s my second Maxtor disk to fail. Take that for what you will.
